Active Termites in Greenslopes

Today I visited a 1950 style house in Greenslopes. The house is built with hardwood weatherboard with hardwood frame and hardwood flooring. I was surprised to find a termite colony active under the floor in the main bedroom wardrobe. These are some photos of what I found!

As you can see from the thermal photo, the camera picks up the warm core of the nest, with the moist workings appearing dark around the colony.   The other photos are from under the house.

In conclusion, it is important to do annual inspections and maintain your termite barrier to avoid costly repair & heartache.

Cheers, Bill
